A door that rests ajar because the closer cam no longer pulls it shut produces exactly this. If instead the chime comes with a flashing service or wrench icon, that is not the door at all: on Classic and Legacy Classic cabinets a flashing wrench with an alarm means a major error code has been logged, and the fault behind it needs attention rather than silencing.

There is an important condition attached, and it is Sub-Zero’s own: do not clear a code while temperatures are still abnormal. The logged code is what a technician uses to diagnose the fault, and clearing it deletes the evidence while leaving the problem.
